Research

The Research Department plays a critical part within American Sports Medicine Institute. Included in this department are biomechanical evaluations and patient tracking.

Biomechanical evaluations help the athlete to understand the motions and forces involved in their sport's activities, especially those that lead to injury from repetition through motion analysis. Individual evaluations are done for all age groups and skill levels. These include, youth, high school, college, adult recreational, and professional athletes.

The biomechanics section of the Research Department also performs cadaver testing.

Patient tracking with clinical outcomes and epidemiology determine the effectiveness of a specific surgery and rehabilitation.

The main goal of research at ASMI is to help prevent injuries and to improve treatment.
