About Us

Champion Sports Medicine (CSM) was established in Birmingham, AL, in the fall of 2004, and was acquired by Physiotherapy Associates, on July 1, 2005 . The acquisition formed close ties and a unique relationship with the Andrews Sports Medicine Orthopedic Center and Lemak Sports Medicine, with well-known practitioners Dr. James R. Andrews and Dr. Lawrence Lemak, as well as Physical Therapist Kevin Wilk.

CSM also has a unique relationship with American Sports Medicine Institute (ASMI). ASMI was founded in 1986 and has become the world’s leader in information related to pitching research. ASMI researchers travel worldwide to educate coaches, parents and sports medicine professionals. CSM works closely with ASMI through research and education.

Champion Sports Medicine provides rehabilitation and sports performance services for thousands of professional, college, high school, and middle school athletes yearly. We can help you or your teams improve athletically with our Sports Performance programs. We provide Strength and Conditioning Clinics; Speed, Agility and Conditioning Camps; Jump and Plyometric Training Programs; and more. Each program we devise is based on your needs.
