Welcome to the home page for American Sports
Medicine Fellowship Society (ASMFS).
This Society is organized and operated by physicians who have trained
with former and current
ASMI faculty members since 1976. Its purpose is to maintain
relationships developed during training; provide a forum for the
exchange of research, clinical and surgical information; and support
projects deemed worthwhile by its leadership.
The Society meets biennially to conduct business and exchange
information. Officers are elected on the same schedule with the
Vice-President automatically assuming duties as President. The Society
is supported by annual membership dues. Additionally, Executive
Committee meetings and receptions are conducted at the annual meetings
of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American
Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
There are several categories of membership:
Active: those who have trained
with the physicians listed below.
Honorary: those who are
outstanding in the field and designated by the membership at a regular
meeting
Associate: those who support the
profession
